A little bit about me.....My first job in college was the bartender at a wine bar while getting a degree in accounting from Michigan State University in 1990. They had 25 wines BTG and it so at first learning about wine was a necessity but as my knowledge grew so did my interest. After a while I was given closing duties and would sit at the bar and do my paper work after everyone left and try new wines. I lived with two bands that practiced at my house daily so I even started doing my homework after work at the bar and drinking more wine and eating smoked provolone. The same years I was traveling all over seeing Grateful Dead concerts and while in California after a rainy day at Muir Woods we decided to spend some time hitting some of the tasting rooms and that even hooked me more. After graduating I traveled a lot, worked many jobs, and wine was always part of the equation but never as a more than a hobby. In 1998 after getting out of a restaurant endeavor with a friend that turned out horribly I took a job selling wine to past time and figure what to do next. It turned out I really liked the business and went to work for a big importer out of New York a few years later. I continued to educate myself and took my first level court of master sommeliers exam in 2004, the same year I started Morevino. My education along those lines ended for now as the demands of running the daily business and traveling almost constantly. I have sucessfully represented nearly 300 wines from almost every major wine producing region in the world and couple of not so major regions. I currently do business in 3 states and work with five distributors and multiple importers. Morevino also just kicked off their new label, a Washington State Merlot. So please take a look at our website and check out the wonderful wines we represent..... and remember to always say " Morevino please!"
